A Japanese cultivar with pale rose flowers up to 14 cm in diameter, borne in May-June and again in September-October. Flowers consist of 8 wavy-edged sepals with a crimson central bar and deep pink anthers on cream filaments. It grows up to 2 m. In full sun blooms tend to fade and wither quickly. Ideal for trellises, poles and other garden supports. It can climb over natural supports.
