A cultivar recommended especially for its large fruit used for culinary and processing purposes. This spreading shrub of rounded habit has pretty silvery leaves and light-orange fruit. Ideal for urban greenery.

WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE: Fruit yellow-orange, glossy, oblong, 0.5-0.7 cm across; ripen from the end of August till September. Flowers modest, yellow, appear in April-May. Leaves decorative, in vegetation season silvery, turn yellow in autumn.

HOW IT GROWS: A shrub of wide elliptical habit reaching 4 m height (0.5 per year). Produces numerous side shoots. Prolific especially when planted in a sunny site.

WHERE TO PLANT: The plant has low requirements concerning the soil, thrives in limy ground. Requires sunny sites. It is resistant to adverse urban conditions and to air pollution. Fully frost hardy (zone 4–7).

HOW TO PLANT AND MAINTAIN: Before planting immerse the plant container in water for 10-30 min. Place the root ball in a 40 x 40 x 40 cm hole with a 10 cm layer of well-rotten manure or compost, 0.5-1 cm deeper than it was before. Fill the hole with fertile soil. The plant does not require regular pruning.

HOW TO APPLY: For plentiful harvest, a male variety, e.g. ‘Pollmix’ is required in the vicinity. Recommended for amateur cultivation in domestic gardens. Sea-buckthorn fruits are rich in vitamin C (with content 4 times higher than in the black current), vitamins  E, F, K, P, folic acid, provitamins A and D as well as micro- and macroelements. They're used for jam, juice, purée and tincture production. A source of food for many bird species. Considering its limited demands and high resistance to pollution, the plant is ideally suited for urban green areas.  Suitable for green hedges.
