A free-flowering cultivar with compact moderate growth. Violet purple flowers with a deep red stripe along velvety tepals and strikingly bright red stamens. Only light pruning is required. Thrives in every aspect. Particularly useful for fences, arbors, trellises, poles and other garden supports. It can also be grown over natural supports such as coniferous or deciduous bushes and dwarf shrubs. Performs well in containers.
